🎯 Pity Drop Guide

Bad-luck protection for rare monster drops — soft odds and hard guarantees

🎯 What is Pity Drop?

Pity Drop tracks kill progress toward rare loot on specific monsters. As you grind without a drop, odds improve (soft pity) until a guaranteed pick from the pity pool triggers (hard pity). Progress is shown in the in-game PityDropDialog.

📈 Soft Pity

Progress toward the threshold improves your effective drop odds along a quadratic curve, up to better odds at full progress (progress² scaling). Soft pity never replaces the hard guarantee — it makes natural drops more likely as the bar fills.

🎁 Hard Pity

1

Reach Threshold

Default threshold: 50 weighted kills (configurable per monster).

2

Guaranteed Drop

Your next qualifying kill guarantees a weighted pick from the monster's pity-tagged drop pool.

3

Reset

Progress resets after hard pity fires, or immediately if a pity-tagged item drops naturally from the normal table.
